Kovai kutralam reopens from Dec. 14- 2021
Coimbatore Courtallam will be reopened from the 14th after continuous rains, officials said.
Unprecedented rains in Tamil Nadu due to the northeast monsoon. Tourists have been barred from entering Kovai kutralam since October 10 due to floods caused by continuous rains.
In this case, Kovai kutralam is scheduled to reopen on December 14 as the water level is low and people are not at risk.
District Forest Officer Ashok Kumar said:
“Those wishing to come to Kovai kutralam must pay a reservation at https://coimbatorewilderness.com/. We plan to send visitors in groups of 4 daily.
150 people will be allowed from 9 am to 9.30 am, as well as from 10.30 am to 11 am, from 12 noon to 12.30 pm and from 1.30 pm to 2 pm.
The district forest officer said.
