Arima Sangam implementing more awareness and action programs in hunger relief
Arima District GAD Coordinator Ramasubramanian said that Arima Sangam 324C is implementing more awareness and action programs in hunger relief, children’s cancer, eye program, diabetes, etc. Inauguration ceremony of Lions Club of Coimbatore Kurinji President and Executives under International Arima Association 324C was held at Avarampalayam Co India Arena, Coimbatore.

Arima District GAD Coordinator Ramasubramanian presided over the ceremony, Arima District 324C Governor Ramkumar Arima Saji David, First Deputy Governor Jayasekaran attended as special guests and administered the oath of office and introduced the new administrators. Lions Club of Coimbatore Kurinji 2022- President Sathasivam, Secretary Admin Satya Kumar, Acting Secretary Sundar Perumal Treasurer Thirumurthy and Executives Saravanan Peppin Isa Shanmugam, Ramasubramanian, Sivakumar, Suresh, Karthik, Nandakumar were sworn in as 23 new administrators. Governors Suresh Kumar, Kalichami, Arumugam Mani, Shanmugam and Selvarajan participated in the function as special invitees and inaugurated the Kurinji Charitable Foundation. GLD Coordinator Rajasekhar, Women President Kasthuri Shanmugam, District Media Relations Head Senthil Kumar including all services of Lions Club attended the function. Project Leaders, Mandal Leaders, District Leaders, Members etc. participated in the event.

Earlier in the program, Lions senior member Selvaraj Lions Kurinji Charitable Foundation donated Rs.1 lakh, Kurinji Lions member Balachandran Arakkulam Lions School construction fund Rs.6.5 lakhs, Lions Kurinji member Sivakumar Rs 1 lakh as education fund, Zone President Manivannan Rs 5000 for service projects and Eliya also provided necessary materials for the destitute home. Speaking to the media, District GAD Coordinator Rama Subramanian said that Arima Sangams are paying more attention to service projects and doing various social welfare works, especially in Arakulam area, they are thankful to Arima friends who are continuously providing financial support for school building works on behalf of Arima Sangam. He also informed that more awareness and action programs are being implemented, especially in the areas of plastic removal, children’s cancer, eye program, environmental protection, diabetes etc.
