Chicken pallipalayam Ingredients
1. Country chicken (breast pieces) – 250 grams
2. Shallots – 1 cup (Small Onion)
3. Tomato – 1 (1 large size or 2 medium size)
4. Garlic – 10 to 12 cloves
5. Ginger – 1 small piece
6. Dry Red Chillies – 8 to 10 (remove seeds)
7. Pepper powder – 1 teaspoon
8. teaspoon Turmeric powder – ½
9. Curry leaves – 1 sprig
10. Chopped coriander leaves – 2 sprig
11. Salt to taste
12. Coconut Oil – 4 table spoons.
Chicken pallipalayam recipe step by step :
1. Fine chop the small onions and garlic and keep it ready.
2. Heat a pan in medium flame, add coconut oil add dry red chillies and curry leaves. Allow them to sizzle for a few seconds.
3. Now add finely chopped onion-garlic and crushed ginger to the pan. Saute till it become golden brown.
4. Then add tomato and small amount of salt.
5. Also add pepper and turmeric powders Continue to cook for another 5 minutes.
6. Add chicken pieces and sprinkle some water and mix well. Keep sautéing till the chicken is fully cooked.
7. Add chopped coconut and enough salt. Cook for another 5 minutes. Make sure that chicken is cooked well and switch off the stove.
8. Finally add 1 table spoon of coconut oil and garnish with coriander leaves.
